After a long break from gaming we finally got one in. The Mark's Little Soldiers were brought out and we used the work in progress Twilight of a Gentleman's War.
The scenario required each for to break out from their trenches and occupy several buildings. I decided to hold my left flank and concentrate on the right. The cards favored the blue force to begin with but a surge in the middle gave me a chance but in the end my army was forced out on the left and decimated on the right.

Last ditch effort offers a glimmer of hope but it was not enough.

Looks a great game.
ReplyDeleteAlan Tradgardland
It was. The time flew by.
DeleteGood fun looking game, must admit love the look of those miniatures.
ReplyDeleteThey are great figures. I have quite a few more to paint and buy:-)
DeleteI agree that Mark's Little Soldiers do look good and tempting.
ReplyDeleteNot being attached to any specific army gives a lot of leeway in painting.
ReplyDeleteWhat rules are you playing with? I am currently working on some myself based on the ones Copplestone has been workin on for what feels like an eternity and I would love some more Input.
ReplyDeletePlus the game you had looks quite interesting and rather low in mini count which is a good sign imo
We're using a variant of A Gentleman's War. It's a rough draft at the moment. This game probably had about 25-30 figures per side which seems to be a good number for one player. We've done some games with more, 36-45 but the dynamic was different.
DeleteI originally was thinking of playing on a grid with The Portable Wargame. I waited six or so years for Mark Copplestone to get these figures into production I guess a few more years for the rules should be expected.:-)
Thanks
